PepsiCo Design + Innovation Center is a design-centric incubator within PepsiCo that focuses on developing innovative design solutions for new and classic PepsiCo brands. The multi-award winning group, which is led by Mauro Porcini, creates bold, design-driven identities and campaign activations that have refreshed and rebranded many of the PepsiCo products. As its first-ever content consultant, I helped the Design + Innovation Center define its brand voice for promotional book and web projects.
Fizzy Rider
I created the taglines for the PepsiCo NSPIRE™ campaign, which was a very deluxe, Karim Rashid-designed food truck (or “innovation kitchen on wheels”) that drove across the U.S. to serve up PepsiCo drinks and snacks at food festivals.
Soda stories
I created storytelling content for the Innovation + Design Center’s website, placing the products in a cultural context while explaining the design concepts behind the branding and activations.
Portfolio books
Each year, the Design + Innovation Center creates a coffee table book about the studio’s projects. I wrote all case studies and captions for the 2014 and 2015 books. By interviewing the designers and telling the story behind each project, I gave their visual concepts a voice and put their ideations into words.
