Popular belief maintains that engineers don’t care about words and images. I disagree. Hence I created a compelling and informative experience for highly tech-savvy tech professionals shopping for sensors on the leading mechanical engineering firm FUTEK’s store pages.
Taking cues from consumer tech vendors as inspiration, I created a user experience that offered style (sleek images and videos and scannable at-a-glance information) combined with substance (detailed product information). Below is one sample out of more than 70 product detail pages. Each sensor has unique capabilities, which are highlighted in easy-to-read paragraphs. Engagement has more than doubled since these pages were released and they have also become effective sales enablement tools for product pitches.
